ARLINGTON – Competing in the best tournament of the year, the Sam Houston bowlers are off to a great start. Sam Houston went unbeaten on the first day of the Prairie View A&M Invitational and sit in second place.
ARLINGTON – A special facility, a special field. That is what awaits the Sam Houston bowlers as they get set to compete in the Prairie View A&M Invitational this weekend.
With a pair of wins over No. 9 Tulane, the Sam Houston bowling team took third place on Sunday at the Kutztown invitational.
On the second day of competition, the Sam Houston Bearkats did just enough to move into the top four in the overall standings and have put themselves in position for a tournament title.
On the opening day of the Kutztown Invitational, the Sam Houston Bearkats posted a 4-1 record and currently sit in 7th in the 28 team field.
A week after finishing sixth in Arkansas, the Sam Houston bowlers are back in action this weekend as they head to Pennsylvania for the Kutztown invitational.
Entering the final day at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Arkansas, the Sam Houston bowlers were in position to take their third title of the season. However, after a rough day on the lanes the Kats fell to sixth.
After the second day of the Mid-Winter Invitational, the Bearkats have put themselves in position for another tournament title.
2018 is off to a good start for the Bearkat Bowlers. After the first day of the Mid-Winter Invitational hosted by Arkansas State, the Kats sit on top of the leaderboard.
The second half of the bowling season gets underway on Friday, when the Bearkats head to the Mid-Winter Invitational hosted by Arkansas State.
The 2018 Southland Bowling League Championship will take place at USA Bowl Dallas, the league announced Wednesday. The 58-lane venue in Northwest Dallas is set to host all eight Southland teams for the fourth league tournament from March 23-25.
After a successful first half of the season, the Sam Houston bowling team will enter 2018 as the No. 5 ranked team in the country. The Bearkats received one first place vote in the latest NTCA top 25 poll.
