Sam Houston States Bowling coach Brad Hagen has added his next signee to the 2017-18 squad with the addition of Transfer Jaden Takayesu from Flower Mound.
Takayesu has excelled both on and off the lanes making the Dean’s list the last two years while bowling for Texas Southern, All Academic Honors, as well as a 3.8 transfer GPA where she will continue her studies in business.
Most recently she earned 2016 SWAC Championship All-Tournament team honors as well as SWAC Second All Conference. Her best event of 2016 was at the ASU Hornet Invitational where she bowled her way on to the all-tournament team.
"Anytime your team can gain more talent as well as depth with potential, you are going to be competing at a high level weekly,” Hagen said. “Jaden has a ton of potential and will offer some additional depth that will go a long way in what is a very long competitive season. Her work ethic and ambitious personality will be key to this programs success."
Nationally, Takayesu has had success finishing her Junior Gold career 88th in 2015 in a field of more than 900 girls as well as being honored as the 2015 NCTUSBC Youth Bowler of the Year.
