The University has announced special parking instructions for Saturday with both commencement ceremonies and the NCAA FCS Quarterfinal game with Kennesaw State on Saturday evening (Dec. 9) at 7:30 p.m. The University urges patrons attending commencement and/or the football game to please exercise appropriate amounts of patience when arriving for either/both of these events on Saturday.
The map below/attached shows the parking availability for each activity.
A few notable changes pertaining to football parking this weekend will deal with arrival times and locations:
**West and North lots will not open until 4:30 p.m. (or one hour later than on usual gamedays).
**RV parking in the West lot, with the appropriate permit, will not be available until 5:30 p.m.
**Any RVs wishing to arrive earlier, including any overnight RV parking, will need to park in Lots P1 and P2 (marked in green) on the map.
**Any non-RV football fans who wish to park before the lots open at 4:30 p.m. will be directed to park in lot P65 (the gravel lot north of the stadium).
Guests should remember not to park in any of the privately owned apartment complex lots south of Bearkat Village for either commencement or football. Your vehicles will be ticketed/towed.
The West and North lots adjacent to Bowers Stadium are reserved for Bearkat Champions suite holders and season chair back reserved ticket holders who have purchased playoff series packages. Parking passes, along with tickets, are ready for pickup now.
A special “will call” pickup window is open at the Bowers Stadium West Side Ticket Office from now through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking passes must be picked up in advance in order to access the respective lots on game day.
The West box office will open at 10 a.m. for sales and will call and all other box offices will open at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. However, only those with West Lot parking passes in hand will be able to access the lot starting at 4:30 p.m. Patrons who arrive on Saturday without tickets or parking permits will not have “in and out” privileges to pick up these items.
The will call window will be exceptionally busy on game day, so fans are strongly encouraged to pick up tickets in advance or be in line by 6:30 p.m. Saturday to ensure you are in your seat for kickoff.
Once again, football fans are reminded to please be patient when arriving early for the game, especially as commencement is releasing.
Bearkat Alley tailgating activities will begin at 5:30 p.m.
