Zach Daniel was named as Sam Houston State Assistant Athletic Director of Corporate Partnerships and Development August 2012. Daniel joined the Sam Houston external operations staff in May 2011, as Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations.
Daniel previously served several roles within the marketing and sales department for the Houston Aeros Hockey Club from June 2007 until May 2011. His last being the Manager of Community Programs. In that capacity, he was involved with community outreach through school programs and non-profit organizations; organized youth choirs, dance teams and band performances to generate group ticket revenue and worked in generating ticket sales through corporate, individual, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities.
Daniel also served as a Special Events intern with the Houston Astros Baseball Club from January to May, 2007, in the Conference Center at Minute Maid Park. He was responsible for event and site planning for meetings, parties, concerts, charity events, and galas; event management and meeting set-up for potential clientele for available event space.
Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock in Health, Exercise, and Sports Sciences. He also received his Master of Science degree from Texas Tech majoring in Sport Management. He and his wife, Sarah, reside in Huntsville, Tx.
