Freshman Spence Rahm went two-for-four and drove in two runs to spark the Bearkats in a 7-3 win over Louisiana-Monroe.
Again Rahm was an offensive catalyst in the seventh inning. The Tomball, Texas, native doubled to right center with one out before Greg Olson pinch ran for him. Olson then scored on a Hayden Simerly single to center.
Andrew Godail started and got the win for the Kats, pitching six innings allowing just three runs on six hits. Godail struck out seven batters and issued only one walk.
The Bearkats chased the ULM starter after just an inning and a third. Trey Setzer allowed two runs on four hits and a walk, but neither run was earned. Reliever Carey Taylor gave up three runs in 2.2 innings.
O'Hearn was three-for-four, scored twice and drove in a run. Miller was two-for-three and scored. Luke Plucheck was one-for-four with two RBI.
The Kats (3-4) will head to Austin to play the Texas Longhorns Tuesday at 5 p.m.
