Kyle Barnard is the Bearkats’ assistant athletic director for corporate partnerships. Since 2014 he has handled marketing duties, fundraising duties, and corporate partnerships which is comprised of 70-80 clients. In Kyle's first 2 years, he and his team have been able to increase sponsorship revenues by 33%, while integrating new video scoreboards and introducing ESPN3 commercial inventory. Cross-campus marketing initiatives like Bearkat Madness, Bearkat Country Crawfish Boil, and the Grow The Growl student rewards program are a few of the promotions managed by Kyle and his staff.
Barnard has been active in the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce serving as President and Vice President in the Preferred Partners Leads Exchange group. Kyle has also volunteered with the Chamber's CHOICES education program and is a graduate of HLI class 34.
Barnard worked at Northwestern State, where he held a similar role, from 2010 to 2013 he also served in ticket operations and as a external affairs graduate assistant. During his time in the ticket office, the Demons set school records in season ticket sales, single game ticket sales, attendance, and kids club memberships.
Before graduating with his master’s degree in sports administration from NSU, Barnard received his undergraduate degree in kinesiology and fitness from Ouachita Baptist University. He was a four-year letterman for the OBU football team. He served as president of OBU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee while reaching the dean’s list.
His hometown is The Woodlands, Texas. He is married to Brittany Barnard, a pediatric RN at Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
