Jordan Brown enters his second season with the Sam Houston State baseball program and first as video coordinator. Brown, who is working towards his bachelor of arts degree in mass communication with an emphasis in film production, served as volunteer coach and bullpen catcher with the Bearkats during their 2016 championship season.
During the 2017 season, Brown will be responsible for providing video analysis of players and video scouting for its coaching staff. He will also record home games for Sam Houston baseball.
In 2016, the League City, Texas, native worked with a pitching staff that posted a 3.69 ERA and touted a Southland Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player (Heath Donica) and D1Baseball.com Freshman All-American (Riley Gossett).
Brown, a 2015 graduate of Clear Creek High School, played baseball at the school, and was the program's starting catcher as a senior. He played baseball all four years, working his way up to varsity in 2013.
