Paeytn Revell is in her first year at Sam Houston State.
Revell served as a volunteer coach at Texas Tech last season following a stellar career as a triple jumper for the Red Raiders from 2014-17. Her brother Saige Revell was a triple jumper for the Bearkats before graduating in May.
The DeSoto native was an honorable mention U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-American for her performance in the 2015 outdoor season which included a top 20 finish at the NCAA Championships. She posted nine top-10 finishes, including four top-three marks, and set the school record in the triple jump at the Red Raider Open.
Revell earned All-Big 12 honors during the 2014 and 2015 outdoor seasons as well as the 2014 indoor season. She placed second in the triple jump at the 2015 Big 12 Outdoor Championships and finished fourth and fifth, respectively, at the 2014 Big 12 outdoor and indoor championships.
Revell was a two-time silver medalist at the University Interscholastic League Track and Field State Meet. She was also a three-time district champion and three-time regional champ.
Revell helped DeSoto win three state track and field championships and was ranked in the top 15 nationally in the triple jump during her junior and senior years of high school.
