Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum, the home of Sam Houston State University men's and women's basketball and volleyball, seats 6,110 fans. The arena was dedicated on Feb. 9, 1976, with a 59-54 defeat of Southwest Texas State.

A main concourse is situated below the primary seating arrangement with ramps leading to orange chairback seats.

The dome-shaped building features a maplewood playing surface lighted from a catwalk suspended 55 feet above court level.
