Faculty and Staff Admission Policies
SHSU Faculty and Staff recieve one (1) complimentary general admission ticket for all SHSU regular-season home games, for all sports. For postseason games, Faculty and Staff will pay regular admission prices.
For football games, Faculty and Staff may pick up a west side general admission ticket at the Athletic Ticket Office in the Ron Mafridge Field House the week of the football game by showing their valid Bearkat OneCard. Faulty and Staff may only pick up their own ticket and are not allowed to pick up tickets for other faculty and staff. Faculty and Staff who wait swipe their Bearkat One card on the day of the game, will be given an East Side General Admission ticket with the students.
All other sports, Faculty and Staff may show their Bearkat OneCard upon entry to the game.
Student Admission Policies
SHSU Students receive one (1) complimentary admission for all SHSU regular-season home games, for all sports. SHSU Students also receive complimentary admission to all Southland Conference Tournament games at any site. Any other postseason games, students will pay regular admission prices.
STUDENT TICKETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE SHSU TICKET OFFICE!!!
Students are granted admission at all athletic event by presenting their BearkatOne Card. The student must be currently enrolled, have an active student ID, and must present their ID upon entering the event to a ticket representative. SHSU Athletics reserves the right to refuse admission to any student who does not meet these requirements. A student’s ID card may only be used once to gain admission to an athletics event.
Tickets issued to students are for SHSU student use only and are not for resale. Any misuse of student tickets or IDs may result in the loss of student ticket privileges. SHSU student IDs and tickets used inappropriately may be confiscated by game management personnel. Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced.
Students are required to comply with all facility rules and conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. In the spirit of sportsmanship, Sam Houston State University asks that all fans act responsibly and courteously. Abusive language or disorderly conduct is unacceptable and unwelcome. Profanity, racial or sexist comments, or intimidating actions directed at the student-athletes, coaches or officials will not be tolerated. Fans who display unsportsmanlike behavior may be ejected from the stadium and lose all ticket privileges.
No outside food or beverages are allowed in the arena. Sam Houston State University reserves the right to deny admission or eject any person from the stadium or arena premises who is intoxicated or in the possession of alcoholic beverages.
A student ticket or a valid SHSU student ID must be provided for admittance into each home football game. Students must enter Bowers Stadium through the NORTH entrance adjacent to Tailgate on game day. Gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. All students who enter Bowers Stadium on game day using their BearkatOne card will be directed to seating on the East Side of Bowers Stadium located behind the visiting team's sideline. All student tickets for football games at Bowers Stadium will be East Side General Admission seating.
Football Ticket Distribution Information
SHSU students who pay activity fees are eligible to receive one ticket in the student section for each home football game. Tickets will be distributed on a game-by-game basis. A valid SHSU student ID must be presented for each ticket picked up. Limit of one ticket per ID.
Ticket Pick-Up Location
SHSU Athletics Tent - Campus Mall Area (Located outside the Lowman Student Center)
Monday - Thursday
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Student tickets will not be distributed at the SHSU Ticket Office. Any tickets not picked up during regular distribution hours will be held for SHSU students at the North entrance of Bowers Stadium on game day. Students may enter with their BearkatOne Card on gameday while availability lasts.
Battle of the Piney Woods
While supplies last SHSU students will have access to a block of 1,200 discounted tickets in Sections 108 and 109 reserved for students only for the Battle of the Piney Woods between SHSU and SFA at NRG Stadium on October 3, 2015. While supplies last these tickets will be sold at $5 per student (Sect. 108 & 109 tickets cost $35 to the general public), limit one (1) per student and each student must present a valid student ID before purchasing the ticket. Student tickets are not for resale!
There will be several opportunities for students to purchase these discounted tickets in the weeks leading up to the game. SHSU Student Activities Dept. will begin selling tickets at the Student Activities Office located in Room 328 of the Lowman Student Center once fall classes have begun.
Once all 1,200 discounted tickets have been purchased students wishing to attend the game must purchase tickets at regular admission prices ($15-$43). Please call the SHSU Ticket Office at 936-294-1729 for more details.
All seating for SHSU Students at The Battle of the Piney Woods is RESERVED SEATING, however, students will be assigned seating at random unless everyone who wishes to sit together purchases their ticket at the same time.
If your student organization (Fraternity, sorority, club team, etc...) wishes to purchase a block of tickets to sit together please call the SHSU Ticket Office at 936-294-1729 for details.

Doors open 60 minutes prior to game time. The reserved student section is located in the lower level of Section D, however, students may sit in any sections that is available for general admission. Admission will not be granted without your student ID.
Women’s Soccer at Pritchett Field is not ticketed. All fans may attend free of charge!
Men’s & Women’s Basketball
