Sam Houston State University Athletics looks to be a positive and productive member of the local community. Bearkat Athletics strives to build strong relationships with businesses and members of Huntsville and surrounding areas. One program that forms this bond is our Gift-In-Kind (GIK) Program. Bearkat Athletics uses these donations to fill multiple needs that exist for the department. These donations directly benefit SHSU Athletics by contributing to the quality of the experience for our student-athletes as well as by securing tangible items or services needed to offset team and departmental budgets. Specific areas of need include automobile, hotel rooms, restaurants, etc. While these donations benefit Bearkat Athletics, members of the department strive to support our Gift-in-Kind partners in return.
