"We only have two inside guys right now which makes it hard for us to run outr stuff," head coach Jason Hooten said. "When Marcus James or Michael Holyfield go out, we have to put one of our guards at the four."

Reserve players Fritz, Marquel McKinney and Cameron Sadler saw significant playing time.

"You just have to step up and deal with what you've been givel and that's something we're doing considering the circumstances," Tucker said. "Everyone is coming to practice and working their tails off. When their numbers are called, they're ready."

Sam Houston returns to action Thursday night when the Bearkats play host to Paul Quinn College.
