Zach Daniel moves to Partnerships/Development

Zach Daniel, who has served as Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations for Sam Houston since May 2011, has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Corporate Partnerships and Development.

Before joining the Bearkat athletic staff, Daniel previously served as Manager of Community Programs in the marketing and sales department for the Houston Aeros Hockey Club from June 2007 until May 2011. In that capacity, he was involved with community outreach through school programs and non-profit organizations; organized youth choirs, dance teams and band performances to generate group ticket revenue and worked in generating ticket sales through corporate, individual, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities.

Daniel served as a Special Events intern with the Houston Astros Baseball Club from January to May, 2007, in the Conference Center at Minute Maid Park. He was responsible for event and site planning for meetings, parties, charity events, and galas; event management and meeting set-up for potential clientele for available event space.

Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock in Health, Exercise, and Sports Sciences. He also received his Master of Science degree from Texas Tech majoring in Sport Management.
