The workshop included business interview training, professional wardrobe and how student-athletes could “enhance their personal brand” when applying for a job. The presentation was organized by the Sam Houston Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

"Mr. Norwood's presentation was just awesome," Sam Houston State senior quarterback Brian Bell said. "His presentation was full of great information and also really entertaining."

Norwood and Monica Sugarek from Enterprise Holdings both were on campus to continue the company’s long-standing relationship with Sam Houston athletics.

Norwood coached the athletes on how to act professional from the moment you pull into the parking lot for an interview and how to dress and how to act at a job interview. He discussed specifics such as tying a tie, giving a proper hand shake and sitting up straight in a chair.

In Norwood's previous visits he has helped student-athletes with resume writing. Norwood has also provided Bearkat student-athletes with internship and scholarship opportunities.

"All the students involved really enjoyed the presentation," Chris Thompson, associate athletic director for student services as Sam Houston, said. "We're all very grateful to Enterprise Holdings to come out and work with our student-athletes bringing these valuable lessons for them as they enter the workforce."
