The Houston Astros Caravan visited Don Sanders Stadium Wednesday where they visited to students and fans on the Sam Houston campus.

The visit was part of a community out-reach program by the Astros in which four groups of players visited San Antonio, Galveston, Texas City, Conroe and Louisiana locations.

Members of the SHSU baseball and softball team plus other Bearkat Astros fans had a question and answer session with pitcher Mike Foltynewics and outfielders L. J. Hoes and Robbie Grossman.

Director of amateur scouting Mike Elias and Astros' broadcaster Robert Ford joined the players.

"It was great to meet the fans face-to-face. You want to give back to the fans who support us," Foltynewics said.
