Katy Adair enters her fourth season as assistant coach with the Sam Houston State softball program and specializes as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator.

She previously served as a graduate assistant at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss.
A 2014 graduate of Belhaven with a bachelor's degree in sports administration, Adair tutored a pitching staff that compiled a 2.94 team earned run average on the way to a 31-23 in 2014. One of her pitchers earned All-Region honors.
A two-year letter-winner in the circle for the Green and Gold, Adair compiled a 24-12 career record with a 2.88 ERA. She hit .315, finishing with 95 hits and 55 RBIs. She led the pitching staff in appearances and innings pitched while chalking up a 15-7 record and a 2.51 ERA as a junior in 2013. She finished the 2014 season with a 9-5 mark and a 3.50 ERA in 20 games. At the plate, she hit .353 with 54 total hits, 13 doubles
Adair played at Magnolia High School in Magnolia, where she lettered in each of her four years. She was named as an All-District selection each year, while also being named to the Montgomery Country first team and the All-State first team. Additionally, she was named to the first team Greater Houston and received a Defensive Player of the Year award.
She spent two years at Galveston College, where she was an All-Conference selection in 2012.
