Walker is in her first year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Bearkats after finishing up a four-year playing career at Ohio University in 2016. 

She previously served as an assistant coach for The Texas Bandits 14u team out of Nacogdoches, and helping them qualifyfor 2014 ASA Nationals, a feat not done in the region for eigth years previously. Walker also spent time as a private softball instructor, giving hitting/slapping lessons as well as speed and agility instruction.

A 2016 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in Sports Recreation Management, Walker also completed an internship with the Ohio University Strength and Conditioning staff.

While playing for the Bobcats she got into 187 games in her four-year career as an outfielder. She led the team in hitting as a junior with a .336 average and 14 multi-hit games, finishing up her career with a .274 batting average. 

Before attending Ohio University, she graduated from Tomball High School where she was a first team all-district outfielder for two straight seasons. Walker helped her team went to the state tournament during all four of her years and was named to the all-state tournament team in 2010.
