HUNTSVILLE – The 2018 Sam Houston State baseball season is nearly here and season tickets are on sale for the 31 home games at Don Sanders Stadium by calling the athletic ticket office at (936) 294-1729 or visiting

Sam Houston will open the 2018 campaign in the national rankings of multiple polls, including as high as No. 22 in the Perfect Game poll released last week. The season will open on Friday, February 16 with a three-game series against Kent State at Don Sanders Stadium. 

Fans will get a big dose of Bearkat Baseball early in the year with 11 of the first 14 games being played in Huntsville. The Kats will also play host to Cincinnati and Missouri Valley power Dallas Baptist in weekend series in 2018 in addition to hosting names such as Houston, Baylor and Rice in midweek action.

Reserved chairback seats, located in Sections 3, 4 and 5 will be $252 and includes a $100 donation to the Bearkat Champions Fund included in the price. The reserved chairback seats feature a 15 percent savings on purchasing individual game tickets.

General Admission seats are also on sale for just $121 with bleacher seats being located in Sections 1,2, 6, 7 and 8 of Don Sanders Stadium.

The Bearkat Champions Baseball Club will be $850 for the 2018 season and features a reserved chairback ticket along with access to the club. With club access fans will receive complimentary concessions and soft drinks in addition to access to a cash bar. 

2017 season ticket holders will receive invoices next week to renew their same-seat location and will have until Friday, February 2 to renew the same seat.

Season ticket holders will have first right to purchase their season ticket locations in the event Sam Houston State Baseball hosts an NCAA Regional or Super Regionals, pending availability. All ticket locations may not be available for purchase based on NCAA ticket policies. 

Single-game tickets for the 2018 season will go on sale on Thursday, February 1. Single-game tickets purchased in advance of game day in the reserved chairback section will be priced from $8 to $12 and will be $6 to $10 in the general admission sections throughout the 2018 season. 

Group discounts are available with the purchase of 10 or more tickets. Game day walk-up sales may be higher than tickets purchased in advance.

The Bearkats are coming off a historic 2017 season that saw them claim the Lubbock Regional and advance to the program’s first ever Super Regional, finishing the season with a 44-23 mark. Sam Houston returns 23 letter winners from that squad, including five positional starters and 15 members of the pitching staff to go along with a stellar signing class of 12 newcomers.
