The third annual Little Kat Camp will be held Saturday morning, August 11, from 8:45 to 10:20 a.m. at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium.

Last year more than 250 youngsters ages five to 12 participated in the annual event which is free to all kids.

Each year the the Little Kat Camp, Sam Houston State players work with the youngsters at various stations teaching the fundamentals of passing, running, catching, blocking and tackling.

"Each year the turnout gets better. Its a great opportunity both for the student-athletes and the youngsters," Sam Houston head coach Willie Fritz said. "I don't know who had more fun - the kids or our players."

Participants in the free youth clinic for youngsters ages five through 12 are asked to bring practice clothes, cleats, gym shorts, t-shirt, socks and athletic supporters.

For more information about the Little Kat Camp August 11, please contact assistant coach Matt Barrett by telephone at (936) 294-1751 or by email at mattbarrett@shsu.edu .
