Sam Houston State 3, Nicholls 2 (Box Score)
Senior Lindsey McLeod pitched her way out of a tough spot to help the Sam Houston State softball team take game one 3-2 over Nicholls in a Southland Conference doubleheader Friday in Thibodaux, La.
The Bearkats had a one-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh thanks to an RBI single by junior Tiffany Thompson in the top of the fifth.
