Sam Houston opened the match by sweeping all three doubles matches as  Nadia Dubyanskaya and Tatyana Postnikova (SHSU) won 8-6 at No. 1,  Sheridan Currie and Natalie Petaia took the number two doubles  8-1 and Imke Jagau and Kayla Stevenson won at No. 3 8-3.

Currie won at number two singles, defeating Dana Nazarova 6-2, 6-1. Petaia took the number three singles after winning the first set 6-1 when Suncica Strikic retired.

Postnikova and Dubyanskaya won at four and five defeating  Suncica Strkic  at No. 4 and Wanda Beguelin at No. 5. respectively.

Kayla Stevenson took the No. 6 match over Blanca G. Izaguirre 6-4, 6-3.
