The Conroe product has totaled 1,007 points in 74 games since 2009 for a 13.6 career scoring average.
This year Martin is the Bearkats' leading scorer with 220 points in 15 games for a 14.7 mean. She stands No. 3 in all-time three-point baskets (174) and No. 12 in career assists (252) at Sam Houston.
Martin is a preseason All-Southland Conference selection in 2012 after earning first team All-Southland recognition after helping lead the Bearkat women to the 2011 West Division Co-Championship.
The junior forward also was a first team Academic All-Southland Conference selection last winter with a 3.41 overall grade point average as a kinesiology major.

Martin ranks as one of the top performers in the Southland Conference again in 2012. She leads the Southland in free throw percentage (.831) and stands No. 6 in the league in scoring (14.7 points), No. 4 in both assists (3.7) and three-point field goals per game (2.0), No. 5 in assist/turnover ratio (1.5) and No. 14 in steals (1.7).
Martin stands 103 points away from becoming one of the top 10 all-time leading scorers in Sam Houston women's basketball history. Sherry Pfister, who played for Sam Houston from 1980 to 1983, is the university's all-time leading scorer with 1,975 points and an 18.8 scoring average.
