Dayna Galganski has been named as the "Most Valuable Player" for the 2011-12 Sam Houston State women's bowling team.

The senior from North Palm Beach, Florida, has earned the team MVP honor two seasons in a row.

One of the team leaders in total pins for the first two Sam Houston women's bowling teams, Galganski has helped guide the Bearkats to top 10 NCAA Division I national rankings two years in a row.

She has earned All-Tournament honors three times and, just last week, was named as an All-American selection each of the past two years.

The "Most Valuable Player" awards for the 2011-12 sports season were announced at the annual Sam Houston State University spring athletic banquet at the Lowman Student Center Ballroom on April 23.
