One thing Brad Hagen has always told his teams, is to respond when things don’t go your way. After their first tough weekend of the season, Hagen will be looking for a big response from the Bearkat bowlers this weekend as they head to the Hawk Flight Invite in New Jersey.

Hosted by Monmouth, the Kats will be one of 18 teams competing for the title this weekend, as they continue to push for one of the eight spots in the NCAA championships in April.

“We have got to bounce back,” Hagen said. “We missed too many shots last time out that we normally make and it hurt us. We’ve had a good week of practice and I think they’ll respond.”

The Kats, ranked No. 5 in the NTCA top 25, are one of four teams currently ranked in the top 10, joining No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 6 Delaware State and No. 10 Fairleigh Dickenson.

Action will get started Friday at 10 a.m. with five total pinfall baker matches. On Saturday they will compete in five traditional game matches. Sunday there will be three rounds of best four out of seven baker matches.
