Brad Hagen was looking for a response from his team, he got it on Friday at the Hawk Flight Invite. The Bearkats posted a 5-0 mark on Friday and will enter Saturday in third place in the overall standings.

“Today was pretty solid overall and when we had a chance to take advantage of the lanes transitioning we got a lot more comfortable,” Hagen said. “This event is all about securing wins and responding. Saturdays moving day and we have to take the information we got today, get settled in quicker, and do our jobs.”

The Kats posted a 189.7 scoring average and trail first place Vanderbilt by 122 pins. They are just a pin back from second place Fairleigh Dickenson University.

Saturday they will compete in five traditional game matches. Sunday there will be three rounds of best four out of seven baker matches. Kats are shooting for one of the top for spots to have a shot at the team title on Sunday.
