With three wins on the day, including one against the top-ranked team in the country, the Bearkats sit in third at the Prairie View Invitational.

The Bearkats opened the day with a loss to Arkansas State before bouncing back with a win against Fairleigh Dickinson. After a victory against North Carolina A&T the Kats squared off against No. 1 McKendree. With a score of 1,013, the Bearkats pulled off a 38-pin win against the Bearcats.

“Today was a half of dozen missed shots early on and late in the day from being a huge four- or five-win day,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “We had a great look but execution and trust got the best of us and with this field there’s no room for self-doubt.We’re in a solid position to move up but we need to learn from our mistakes and step up tomorrow.”

The Kats total pinfall of 4,955 was third-best on the day and 125 pins behind first-place Vanderbilt.
