A week after finishing sixth in Arkansas, the Sam Houston bowlers are back in action this weekend as they head to Pennsylvania for the Kutztown invitational.

The fifth-ranked Bearkats look to get back on track after dropping the final three matches in the Arkansas State tournament last weekend.

“I think it will be good for us to get right back out there and compete again,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “We bowled really well for two days last weekend, and just had a really bad showing on Sunday, and that just can’t happen.”

Tied for the largest NCAA invite in the country, this weekend's invitational will feature a 28-team field, 17 of which are nationally-ranked, including nine of the top-10 teams in the country.

Friday's baker matches begin at 10 a.m., Saturday's traditional matches begin at 8:30 a.m., and Sunday's best-of-seven bracket-style matches begin at 7:30 a.m.
