With 36 holes in the books in Seattle, the Sam Houston women are in contention to win at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational.
The Bearkats sit in third with one round to play, five strokes behind leaders North Dakota State. The Kats opened with a 308, but rallied with the best score of the second round with a 304.
Hanna Alberto paced the Kats, shooting a 5-over for 36 holes and currently sits in 8th. One shot back is Shawnee Allen following rounds of 76 and 74. Alberto opened the day with an even-par 72, the second-best round of the day.
Jenna Phillips, Gianti Mahardhika and Kari Bush all took different paths, but the three are all tied for 37th at 15-over par. Philips opened with a 79 and followed that up win an 80. Bush shot an 81 and then bounced back with a 78.
The final round at the Par 72, 6020 yard course will be Tuesday.
