DALLAS – The Sam Houston State golf team sits 11th overall after posting a combined team score of 290 on day two of the Trinity Forest Invitational, Monday afternoon in Dallas, Texas.

William Holcomb shot 73 in round two and continues to pace the squad with a total score of 142. He sits in a four-way tie for 26th while senior Austen Christiansen follows closely behind in a tie for 30th. Christiansen bounced back from round one and produced a 70-stroke effort on day two of the invitational thanks to four birdies.

Competing as an individual, newcomer Jack Randle is tied for 30th along with Christiansen after jotting down a 69-stroke performance in the second round. He went one-under par on the 11th hole and posted back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14.

Noah Steele and Grayson Blunt shot 74 and 75, respectively and Camden DeBonis rounds out the group with a total score of 150 (77, 73).

The Kats close out the Trinity Forest Invitational tomorrow at 8 a.m. at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
