After a rough second round at the Louisiana Classics, the men's golfers bounced back with their best round of the tournament on Tuesday, shooting a 292 to finish in 9th at the 15-team event.
The Kats entered the day in 12th, but their round of 292 allowed them to climb up the standings on the tournament's final day. Their score was the fifth-best mark in the field.
William Holcomb led the way for the Kats with a bogey-free round of 71 at the par 72 Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La. Holcomb climbed 13 spots on the leaderboard to finish 18th overall.
Noah Steele finished his day strong, closing with three straight birdies to get back to even par for the day. It was his second round of 72 in the tournament, after opening with the even-par round. He finished 6-over for the tournament and in 26th place.
