HUNTSVILLE – Sam Houston State men’s golf has inked three players to its 2018 class, including a pair of student-athletes from the greater Houston area and another from Mexico City, head coach Brandt Kieschnick announced Saturday.

The class includes Luis Carrera, the No. 1 junior golfer in Mexico; Jack Randle, the 2017 District 12-6A champion and Grayson Blunt, the 2017 21-6A District Championship runner-up. In all, Kieschnick has ample reason to be thrilled with the incoming class.

The Bearkats recently wrapped up their 2017 fall season, capturing top-five results in five of six tournaments. Sam Houston ranks No. 57 nationally, the second-highest ranking in program history. The ranking comes after the Kats bested three top-50 programs in its fall finale from Hawaii.

Head coach Brandt Kieschnick on the signing class…
