Sam Houston State junior Sahaja Yamalapalli is on a roll at the 2019 Oracle ITA Masters where she is playing against some of the top collegiate players in the country in Malibu, California.

A day after taking down reigning Conference USA Player of the Year Michaela Haet of Rice in straight sets, Yamalapalli defeated Anna Riedmiller of Denver 6-3, 6-1 in the second round of the consolation bracket Saturday. Yamalapalli then knocked off Brindtha Ramasamy of Miami-Ohio in straight sets 7-5, 6-2 to advance to the finals.

Yamalapalli will face Iuliia Bryzgalova of Penn in the consolation finals Sunday at 11 a.m. CST. Bryzgalova is currently the 63rd ranked player in the country.
