HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston jumped out to a lead but could not hold off a late inning rally to drop game three of a Western Athletic Conference series 6-1 at Bearkat Softball Complex.

Tricia Yarotsky reached on a throwing error by the catcher on a dropped third strike to begin the frame. She moved to third on a wild pitch then scored on an RBI single up the middle by
Emily Telg.

Regan Dunn tossed three shutout innings to begin the game but ran into a little trouble in the fourth when she gave up a solo home run to tie the game.
Brailey Wasik came on in relief and retired three straight batters to end the frame.
The Antelopes got to Wasik in the fifth when they scored three runs on three singles and a pair of walks. GCU added insurance runs in the sixth and seventh to seal the victory.
Sam Houston will host Houston Christian on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Bearkat Softball Complex.
